Job Description The Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life (OCRL) annually designates and stipends several students as Religious Life and Spirituality Interns. These internships provide an opportunity for student leaders to join in exploring and transforming the spiritual life on campus. Interns work directly and collaboratively with the chaplains to plan, implement and evaluate programs directed at issues of significance to the religious and spiritual life of the campus. The ideal candidate is both skilled and motivated to expand personal knowledge of the Tradition or content area of their internship. Annual projects are directed at improving the understanding and responsiveness of OCRL to the needs of the Brown community and beyond. Each position reports directly to the University Chaplain of its respective Tradition. Responsibilities include: -Develop, implement, coordinate and promote programs and activities of special interest -Maintain a communication network that includes e-mail, web and/or social media, as appropriate -Plan and organize opportunities for student leadership from associated student organizations to meet and collaborate with one another -Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of various initiatives
Job Requirements Qualifications include: -Interest and familiarity with issues pertaining to religious literacy, faith and spirituality -Excellent communication skills -Ability to work both independently and collaboratively -Ability to accommodate a varied schedule -Computer proficiency -Ideal but not required qualifications would include any or all of the following: ability to type in Arabic, web site design skills, graphic design skills

Hourly Rate $10.00/hour, This is not an hourly position. It is a stipend position at $1000 per academic year.
