Job Description Sort, load book trucks and shelve all types of Library materials. Help maintain book stacks in good order by shelf reading and shifting materials as needed. Search for missing books. Pull books for transfer to Library Annex. Collect library materials from carrels, copy centers and re-shelving areas. Perform related duties as assigned. -Identify and locate books using available slips. -May work either mornings, afternoons, or a combination of both.
Job Requirements *Must be a currently enrolled student this academic year. *Ability to perform detailed, repetitive and physically demanding work with speed and accuracy. *Physical strength for carrying and lifting books, pushing loaded book trucks and shelving library materials. *Ability to bend, reach, stretch, use ladders. *Must respect the safety protocols of equipment, ladders and moving heavy materials. *Must score 80 or higher on computer test given to assess comprehension of Library of Congress call number system. *Ability to excel in detail oriented and repetitive work *Computer literacy and independent decision making skills ********************** This position will be for Winter Recess and continue into the Spring semester.
