Job Description We are hiring 40 students to work the Undergraduate Commencement and 4 students to work the Graduate School Commencement. Commencement Usher duties include, but are not limited to, ushering guests on the main green, passing out programs, staffing the Commencement Information Desk, directing guests and placing signs. Please note, students hired will be required to attend a training session.
Job Requirements Students hired as Undergraduate Commencement Ushers must be able to work Commencement day (Sunday, May 27, 2018 from 7 am to 3 pm) and must attend one of 2 training sessions offered on either Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. or Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. These hours are strict – all applicants are expected to work these hours. Student hired for Graduate School Commencement Ushers must be available for a one-hour training the week before Commencement at a time TBD, be available Saturday, May 27 from approximately 1:30pm to 4 PM for rehearsal and on Sunday, May 27 from 8 AM to 1 PM for the Commencement ***In the "Additional Comments /Information" section of the application please indicate whether you prefer the Ungrad or Grad Usher position and whether or not you will need University housing for the week leading up to Commencement***
