Job Description An IT Service Center Student Manager may include some/all of the following tasks: Providing leadership and management of the IT Service desk from 5pm to midnight Assist with scheduling students at the IT Service Center, IT clinics and Computer Labs Responsible for training IT Service Center Student Assistants Communicating news , updates to IT Service Center Technical Assistant Organizing and scheduling staffing for special IT clinics Assisting with administrative duties AV equipment consultant/ rental sign-out and check in/monitoring inventory Managers are expected to be able to deal with difficult situations as they arise Overseeing the quality of service being provided at the Service Center, IT clinics and clusters
Job Requirements Time Requirements: Our IT Service Center Manager is expected to work a minimum of 12 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 AM and 2:00 am, Sunday through Saturday. All managers will be scheduled to work at the IT Service Center, in the field at IT clinics and in our computer labs. You must have some availability to work some or all of the 5pm-12midnight shifts (or portions of) at the IT Service Center. Technical Skills: Previous experience as an IT Service Center Consultant prior to becoming manager is preferred. Experience using and troubleshooting Mac and Windows platforms as well as various mobile device operating systems are required. Knowledge of AV equipment, video camera operation and video conferencing also desired. On the job training will be provided. Customer Service Skills: As the face of CIS on campus, it is essential that consultants are friendly, helpful and professional in all of their interactions. Good telephone manners and patience are essential. Attention to details is required. Must be employed at the Service Center for 1 year prior to applying. Professionalism: We're looking for people who are responsible, prompt and communicate when problems arise. Must be punctual and dress appropriately (business casual).
